Apple MacBook Pro 15

You might be surprised to see the 15-inch MacBook Pro on our list; however, it’s worth mentioning because not only does it have a large display, but it’s as thin and lightweight as the Dell XPS 13 as well.

It’s still got the large screen, but the bezel-less display gives you plenty of real estate for whatever you need to do as well. With Retina technology, the MacBook Pro 15 gives you unprecedented detail and screen clarity.

Just like the Dell XPS 13, the MacBook Pro 15 has some excellent hardware inside of it. You can choose from a range of different Intel processors, a dedicated graphics card, and a whopping 16GB of RAM. This allows you to do hardware-intensive things like video editing, programming, web design, and so much more.

Apple MacBook Air

The new MacBook Air got a facelift in the upgraded generation as well. It has a new display, which brings you some excellent screen clarity. It still sits at 13-inches in size, but with the bezel-less construction, it appears that you get more screen real estate.

Folks will still love the lightweight and ultra-thin feel that the MacBook Air has to it as well.

The MacBook Air might not have the performance capabilities that the Dell XPS 13 has, but you still get fairly close with a  dual-core 8th generation Intel Core i5 processor and 8GB of RAM. This one doesn’t have a dedicated graphics card, so you’ll be working with Intel integrated graphics, which aren’t that great if you plan to do video editing or gaming.

Dell XPS 15

Maybe the size of the Dell XPS 13 is your big issue. 13-inch displays are just too small for a lot of people; however, worry not — Dell offers a larger model of the XPS 13 with the XPS 15.

The Dell XPS 15 has a thin profile and lightweight construction that’s easy to travel with. As the name implies, you get a 15-inch display, and you can choose whether to get that in 4K resolution or in Full HD. Your choice is reflected in the price; however, no matter what you choose, you’ll get excellent display quality.

The XPS 15 is a powerhouse in terms of hardware as well. You can do some really demanding work on the XPS 15 with its 8th-generation Intel Core i7, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB SSD.

ASUS ZenBook S

The ASUS ZenBook S is another excellent alternative to the Dell XPS 13. This is a thin and lightweight laptop that comes equipped with a 13.3-inch Full HD display. It has excellent screen clarity, and color detail is really good.

It comes with nine hours of battery life off of a single charge; however, you can juice up the device quickly with optimized fast charging capabilities. After just 49 minutes on the wire, you should easily be able to reach up to 60% battery life. It has a 8th generation Intel Core i7 processor, 8GB of RAM, and a 256GB SSD.

MacBook Pro 13-inch

Our favorite Dell XPS 13 available right now is the MacBook Pro 13-inch. Apple is the leading technology company that’s able to bridge that gap between premium, luxury style and powerful hardware. With that, you have the MacBook Pro 13, a laptop that has a gorgeous 13-inch Retina display. You’ll be able to immersive yourself in movies and TV like you never have before with this display. On top of that, it’s great for designers and artists who need those detailed colors.

There’s some powerful hardware packed into the MacBook Pro 13, making it an optimal machine for heavy duty tasks, such as light video editing, light gaming, and more. It’s got a big battery, so you shouldn’t have a problem using this all day before needing to plug it in again.

Google Pixelbook

Google’s trying to get into the luxury laptop space as well with its own Chrome OS based Google Pixelbook computer. The Google Pixelbook runs off of Chrome OS, which is essentially Google’s Internet-based operating system. You can basically picture it as the Google Chrome browser being an operating system, and then you can improve that operating system and add applications by adding extensions to the OS, or in recent developments, actual Android applications. If you don’t need anything other than an Internet browser and few Android applications, the Google Pixelbook is the best option for you. Since it’s so efficient with power, this laptop will last you all day long with a single battery charge. The keys feel nice and the overall design is super sleek as well.

It has a beautiful 13-inch display, but if you’ve got the cash to spend, we recommend upgrading it to the 13-inch HDR display — you’ll get a much more detailed and crisp experience out of the this way. The ThinkPad X1 Carbon has some pretty powerful hardware packed inside it as well. You’ll be able to do light video editing on this laptop, along with some light gaming.

Surface Laptop

Microsoft’s new Surface Book 2 is extremely expensive, but it rivals the design and hardware of the MacBook Pro 15. It’s reasonable in that sense, especially since you get much better hardware, arguably even a better display. However, not everyone has the budget for a maxed out Surface Book 2. Microsoft sees that, and now they’re offering a cheaper Surface experience with the Surface Laptop. It’s got some fairly powerful hardware with an impressive display. You get a 13.5-inch PixelSense display that will play movies and TV shows seamlessly. On top of that, you get an Intel Core i5 processor, 4GB of RAM, and a 256GB SSD drive. It’s got a unique keyboard setup, being covered in a microfiber material. Check it out for yourself at the link below.
