Disable hardware acceleration in Chrome

Although hardware acceleration is designed to improve the performance of Chrome there are instances when it can slow down your browsing experience. This usually happens if you have the setting enabled and your computer has a weak or older generation graphics card. Here’s how to turn off this feature.

Turn off hardware acceleration

  1. Open Google Chrome.
