Netflix is currently the most popular streaming service that allows its subscribers to watch a wide variety of TV shows, movies, and documentaries. As of this 2020 there are an estimated 167 million people subscribed to this service worldwide. Although this is a solid performing platform there are instances when certain issues can occur. In this latest installment of our troubleshooting series we will tackle the Netflix Error M7121-1331 in Windows 10.
Fixing the Netflix error M7121-1331
When you are trying to access Netflix from your computer and you get the Netflix error code M7121-1331 then this means that you are trying to access the service using an unsupported browser.
Here’s a list of the supported browsers:
- Google Chrome version 64 or later.
- Internet Explorer 11 or later.
- Microsoft Edge on Windows 10
- Mozilla Firefox version 59 or later.
- Opera version 47 or later.
- Safari on Mac OS X 10.10 or later.
If you are using Google Chrome and you are getting this error message then here’s what you need to do.
Method 1: Disable Chrome extensions
There’s a possibility that this problem is caused by a browser extension that you are using. Try disabling your extensions then check if the issue still occurs.
Time needed: 5 minutes.
Turn off Chrome extensions
- Click on the Menu button.
This is the three vertical dots on the upper right side of the window.
- Click on More tools.
This will open a new sub-menu.
- Click on Extensions.
This will open a new tab where you can manage your browser extensions.
- Turn off all Extensions.
Click on the toggle switch below each extension to turn off.
If the issue does not occur when all extensions are disabled then you should try enabling the extensions one by one then see which one is causing the problem.
Method 2: Clear the Netflix cookie from your computer browser
Clearing the cookie will usually fix this problem as it will refresh your connection to the Netflix server.
- Go to netflix.com/clearcookies. This will clear the cookies and will sign you out of your account.
- Select Sign In and enter your Netflix email and password.
- Check Netflix again.
After performing the steps listed above you will successfully fix the Netflix Error M7121-1331 in Windows 10.
