Whenever your Windows 10 computer connects to a wireless network it creates a profile for that particular connection which it stores. This profile includes several information which includes the SSID and security details. How To Forget A Network On Windows 10
Using the Settings app
- Open the Settings app from the Start menu.
- Click on “Network & internet”.
- Click on the “Wi-Fi” option on the left side of the screen.
- Click on the “ Manage known networks” on the right side of the screen.
- You will see a list of saved Wi-Fi networks.
- Click on the network name you would like to forget then click on the forget button.
Using the Wi-Fi menu from the System tray
- Click on the Wi-Fi button on the System tray,
- You will see a list of saved Wi-Fi networks.
- Right click on the network name you would like to forget then click on the forget button.
Using the Command Prompt
- Launch the Command Prompt app as an administrator. You can do this by entering cmd on the search field from the taskbar then right click on the Command Prompt result and click on “Run as administrator”.
- On the Command Prompt window type in netsh wlan show profiles
- A list of all the wireless network profiles stored in your computer will appear.
- Choose the wireless network you want to forget then type netsh wlan delete profile name=”Wi-Fi network name”.
