Fortnite in an online video game which was first released in 2017 and is available for Windows, macOS, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, iOS, and Android. It is a popular battle royale style game that has attracted more than 125 million players in less than a year of its release. Although this is a solid game there are instances when certain issues can occur which we will be addressing today. In this latest installment of our troubleshooting series we will tackle the Fortnite won\u2019t launch issue. How To Fix Fortnite Won\u2019t Launch Issue Before performing any of the recommended troubleshooting steps listed below its best to reboot your computer. This will refresh the windows 10 operating system and will usually fix most of the common issues caused by a software glitch. There are several factors that can cause this particular problem which we will identify and try to fix. Run Fortnite as an administrator There are certain times when you will need to run the game with an elevated permission. If this is not provided then the game might crash. Go to the game installation folder.Right-click on the "FortniteClient-Win64-Shipping" then select \u201cProperties\u201d and click on the "Compatibility" tab.Check the \u201cRun as Administrator\u201d box and click on "Apply".Right\u2013click on the "FortniteClient-Win64-Shipping-BE" then select "Properties" and click on the "Compatibility" tab.Check the \u201cRun as Administrator\u201d box and click on \u201cApply\u201c.Right\u2013click on the "FortniteClient-Win64-Shipping-EAC" then select "Properties" and click on the "Compatibility" tab.Check the "Run as Administrator" box and click on "Apply".Right\u2013click on the "FortniteLauncher.exe" then select "Properties" and click on the "Compatibility" tab.Check the "Run as Administrator" box and click on "Apply". Check if the Fortnite won\u2019t launch issue still occurs. Check for corrupted anti-cheat driver There\u2019s a chance that the problem is caused by a corrupted anti-cheat driver. If this is the culprit then you will have to run a scan. Click on the search bar in the bottom left-hand corner and search for \u201cCommand Prompt\u201dRight-Click on the Command Prompt icon and click on the \u201cRun as administrator\u201d option.In the Command Prompt type \u201csfc\/scannow\u201d\u00a0 and press EnterWait for a few minutes as this process takes some time to complete.Close the command prompt and restart your computer Check if the Fortnite won\u2019t launch issue still occurs. Repair the EasyAntiCheat Service The anticheat service allows for fair play in the game by preventing hackers or cheaters from joining in. If this service has some corrupted data then you will need to fix this as it could be what\u2019s causing the problem. Click the Start menu button or the search button next to it and type \u201cFortnite\u201dRight-click on the executable and choose the \u201cOpen file location\u201d option from the context menu which will appear.The default folder for the installation is \u201cC >> Program Files >> Epic Games >> Fortnite\u201d.Inside the Fortnite folder, go to \u201cFortniteGame >> Binaries >> Win64 (or Win32 depending on your OS) >> EasyAntiCheat\u201c. You should see the \u201cEasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe file\u201c.Right-click the \u201cEasyAntiCheat_setup.exe\u201d file in the folder and choose the \u201cRun as administrator\u201d option from the context menu which will appear.Confirm any UAC prompts that the file wants to make changes to your computer and wait for its window to open.Inside the window, Select \u201cFortnite\u201d from the list of available games and select \u201cRepair Service\u201cThe \u201cInstalled Successfully\u201d message should appear shortly afterward. Uninstall then reinstall Fortnite If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you should try to uninstall then reinstall Fortnite from your computer. To uninstall the game just open up the Epic launcher, click on the Library tab, select Fortnite and find the cog symbol on it and click Uninstall. Restart your computer then download Fortnite again.
