There are several factors that can cause this particular problem ranging from an outdated Java version to a corrupted game installation. Listed below are the recommended troubleshooting steps you need to do to fix this problem.

Try updating Java

One of the main causes of this problem is an outdated Java version which is why you should make sure that your computer has the latest version installed.

First, determine if your operating system is 32bit or 64bit.

  • Right-click on This-PC present on your Desktop and select Properties.
  • In front of System type check the type of operating system installed on your computer. 

Install Java

  • Download the correct Java version from here https://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp.
  • Extract the file which you just download to an accessible location. Open the folder and copy the file version folder that you see.
  • Press Windows + E to launch Windows Explorer and navigate to the following path: C:\Program Files\Java (for 32 bit), C:\Program Files (x86)\Java (for 64 bit)
  • Paste the file which you copied to the location. Make sure that you copy the name of the folder which we just pasted.
