Before performing any of the recommended troubleshooting steps listed below its best to restart your computer first. This will refresh the operating system and remove any corrupted temporary data that could be causing the problem.

The error code 43 usually means that a hardware device can’t be identified by windows 10. This can usually occur when a new driver or update is installed however it can also be caused by other factors. Listed below are the troubleshooting steps you need to do to fix the problem.

Make sure the graphics card is installed correctly

Turn off your computer and make sure to unplug the power cord. Remove its case then remove the graphics card from its slot. Insert the graphics card again making sure that it is correctly placed. If your card requires an external power source then make sure that it is connected.

Turn on your computer then Check if the NVIDIA error code 43 issue still occurs.

Disable  then re-enable the graphics card

Refreshing the connection between Windows and the graphics card will usually fix this problem.

  • Press Windows + R
  • Type “devmgmt.msc” in the dialogue box and press Enter.
  • Once in the device manager, expand the category of “Display adapters”, right-click on your device and click “Disable”.
  • Now turn off your computer.
  • Turn your computer back on.

Lucid VIRTU MVP is a software that claims to improve the graphics performance of your computer however this can also cause issues with some NVIDIA graphics cards. If you have this software installed in your computer then you should try to uninstall it.

  • Press Windows + R
  • Type “appwiz.cpl” and press Enter.
  • You will see all the applications installed on your computer in front of you. Search through them for “Lucid MVP” software, right-click it and select “Uninstall”.
  • Restart your computer

Install Windows Updates

It’s possible that the problem is caused by a system bug which can be fixed by getting the latest software update.

  • Press Windows + S button to launch your start menu’s search bar.

  • Visit the Nvidia GeForce website
  • Click the “Drivers” tab.
