When you type anything on the Google search bar you will get the most relevant result for whatever you are searching for. What you might not know is that in the background Google is also saving your search history which helps the service better personalize the information it delivers to you. This is actually a great feature since it allows for faster search results and you are able to keep track of your search history.
Some people however don’t want this feature and would like to turn it off. Listed below are the easy steps on how to do this.
How To Turn Off Recent Google Search History
- Go to your Google history page on your computer browser. The address is www.google.com/history.
- Login to your Google account.
- Click on the Web & App activity link.
- Click on the Activity controls on the left.
- Turn the Web & App activity switch off.
- When prompted, confirm your selection.
You can also delete your Google search history on this page by clicking on the Delete by activity link on the main Google My Activity page. You can delete your search history by specifying a date or deleting everything.
