Steam is currently one of the most popular platform to get your favorite PC titles to your computer. You no longer need to go to a store and buy a physical copy of the game as you can just download it straight to your computer which is quite convenient. One of the things that games usually do is take screenshots of the epic moments that occur in their gaming sessions. Sometimes after taking the screenshot, the image can’t be found. In this latest installment of our troubleshooting series we will show you how to access the Steam screenshot folder.
How To Access Steam Screenshot Folder
There are two ways that you can access the Steam screenshot folder. The first method is by the screenshot manager of Steam and the second is by the file explorer program of windows.
Using the Screenshot Manager
- Open your Steam window.
- Go to the upper-left corner of your screen, then click View.
- Select Screenshots from the options.
- You will see the Steam Screenshot Manager. You will be able to access the saved screenshots on the software program. You can also click the Show on Disk button to open the screenshot folder that is locally saved on your computer.
Using File Manager
Every screenshot that you take will be stored in a location in your hard drive. By going to this location you will be able to access the Steam screenshot folder.
- Go to drive C:\ Programfiles (x86) \ Steam \ userdata\ <yourSteamID> \ 760 \ remote\ <app – ID> \ screenshots.
You can get your SteamID by opening your Steam client. Click on view and choose settings. Go to interface and find a box which reads “Display Steam URL address when available”. Check it and save.
