Change the network adapter properties

  1. Right click on the Start button.

    This is located on the lower left side of the screen. Turn off Airplane Mode

  2. Click on Device Manager.

  3. Click on the forward arrow before Network adapters.

    This will expand the network adapters adapters

  4. Right click on the network adapter that you are using then click on Properties.

  5. Click on the Power Management tab.

  6. Uncheck the box for “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power”.

Update your network driver

  • Open the Action Center by clicking on the Windows+A keys.
  • Make sure “Airplane mode” does not have a blue color. If it does then click on it once to turn off airplane mode.

  • Click the “Network” icon in the taskbar notification area.
  • Make sure “Airplane mode” does not have a blue color. If it does then click on it once to turn off airplane mode.

  • Click on the Start button.
  • Click on Settings.
  • Click on Network & Internet.
  • Click on Airplane Mode on the left pane.
  • Turn off the switch for Airplane Mode.
