Not sure what liquid CPU cooler to snag for your i7-9700k processor? Then be sure to stick with us below — we’re diving into the twelve best liquid CPU cooler for i7-9700k. Let’s dive right in!

CoolerMaster MasterLiquid LC120E

CoolerMaster is up in first position on our list with the MasterLiquid LC120E. This is an excellent choice for those that are looking for standard cooling, as well as more high-performance cooling for those that do some overclocking. It actually delivers efficient cooling with a dual pump 120mm fan system, but you can also upgrade your liquid cooler to a 240mm system.

No matter what size you choose, it keeps your system running effectively, even in the high load times when your processor is working its hardest. Like we mentioned, the 240mm system really works for some of the more demanding tasks.

This one from CoolerMaster has a low-profile dual chamber pump that, as we mentioned, delivers sizable performance leaps over many of the previous models that CoolerMaster has launched, making this latest generation model one of the best advancements in liquid cooling.

One of the other nice highlights to the CoolerMaster MasterLiquid is the reinforced FEP tubing. Your tubing material is actually one of the most important aspects of liquid cooling, because you need the tube kink-free, which keeps a constant flow of liquid to your CPU. That means you won’t experience any interruption in cooling, keeping your CPU safer for longer.

Deepcool Captain 240EX

In second position on our countdown, we have a particularly nice looking liquid cooler — the Deepcool Captain 240EX. This is one of the best that you can invest in, due in large part because of its versatility. It attaches to your i7-9700k without a hitch, as well as any LGA1151 processor. Additionally, it’s got support for the latest AM4 socket, as well as most AMD sockets. You can use it with the Ryzen processor, or with the Intel CPUs.

Aside from its awesome versatility, the Deepcool Captain 240EX has easily the most reliable and powerful pump that enables the maximum amount of water circulation. This makes it excellent for heat dissipation, outperforming most air coolers today. It’s actually a unique pump, and is therefore patented. One of the cool features about it is that it has a breathing LED light and visual glass tube that shows liquid circulation.

Corsair Hydro Series H75

Corsair’s Hydro Series is third on our countdown, this time with the H75 Cooler/Fan combo. One of the cool things about this choice from Corsair is the ability to dynamically adjust fan speeds. You can actually adjust at between 600 RPM to 1,900 RPM, all thanks to the two integrated 120mm CORSAIR SP Series PWM fans. Corsair equipped this one with a thermally optimized cold plate and low-noise pump design for more efficient, quieter cooling.

Corsair makes this one easy for even the layman to install. It comes with a modular tool-free mounting bracket with it, allowing quick and easy installation onto all current AM4, LGA 1151 and LGA 2066 socket CPUs. Just like the Deepcool, it will work with most AMD and Intel processors today.

Rosewill CPU Liquid Cooler PB 120

And in fourth place we’re looking at the Rosewill CPU Liquid Cooler. This is a single-fan liquid CPU cooler, but will do an excellent job at keeping most types of processors cool — both Intel and AMD actually. One of our favorite things about these liquid coolers is the versatility they have like that — you don’t have to buy a new cooler every time you switch out a CPU or a motherboard.

Like the others, Rosewill’s CPU Liquid Cooler allows you to transfer heat away from your CPU and GPU more quickly than air, due in large part to the low-evaporation tubes to keep coolant from drying up too quickly.

This is a closed loop cooler as well. It’s overall a self-contained cooling system, closed loop design with pre-filled coolant is virtually immune to leaks. That said, you don’t really need to keep an eye on refills.

Thermaltake Water 3.0

If you’re looking for a cross between excellent affordability and performance, the Water 3.0 from Thermaltake will be right up your alley. Thermaltake actually offers the Water 3.0 in a variety of models, meeting a bunch of different affordability and performance needs. Whether you’re doing normal computing or some heavy overclocking, the Waer 3.0 will be able to easily keep up with the i7-9700k.  It has a high performance copper base plate and water block, and with a 120mm radiator, your processor will stay extremely cool, even under heavy load times.

Thermaltake designed this one to have a maintenance-free style — so you shouldn’t ever have to open up your case and clean the water cooler up. It also has a low profile design, so it should sit in your PC well without taking up too much space. A three-year warranty keeps you protected against any defect that you might come across.

Like we mentioned, Thermaltake actually offers its Water 3.0 cooler in a variety of different sizes — you have choices between 120mm, 240mm and 360mm.

NZXT Kraken M22

The NZXT Kraken M22 is a great choice for Intel’s i7 CPUs. Designed for the LGA 1151 socket, this should have no problem keeping 8th and 9th Generation Intel processors cool, including the i7-9700k. Once you hook up the liquid setup, you shouldn’t have a problem keeping the cooling fully automated.

Additionally, NZXT outfitted the Krakem M22 with some awesome RGB lighting abilities, which can really help your system stand out, at least if you have a transparent or glass case.

The fan can be purchased in a variety of different sizes for maximum cooling potential — by default, it’s available in 120mm, but you can get it all the way up to 360mm.

upHere Liquid Cooler

upHere has an amazing Liquid Cooler, and will have no problem keeping most LGA 1151 processors cool. You’ll obviously just need a little bit more space in your PC, since it comes with the cooling block and pipes as well.

As you might imagine, upHere is able to deliver outstanding cooling performance to your processor, which is largely due to the copper microfin waterblock. It also features a smart cooling fan, ultimately allowing the water cooler to dissipate excess heat more efficiently.

One of the things that upHere excels it is allowing the layman to install this one easily — they actually include clear, easy to read instructions so that anyone can easily apply this to their setup.

Alphacool Eisbaer 280

Coming in as our sixth contender for the best liquid CPU cooler is the Alphacool Eisbaer 280. We first like this cooler because of how versatile it is — you can use it on AM4 and LGA 1151 socket types, as well as many older sockets. Not only that, but Alphacool has somehow managed to really nail the formula here — an excellent cross between top performance cooling and value for money. That said, this one isn’t going to cost you much more than $130, and that’s cheap as far as top liquid CPU coolers go.

One thing that’s unique to the Eisbaer 280 is the lack of third-party software. There’s no downloads that you have to make here, as the Eisbaer’s functions are easily controlled through your computer’s own BIOS settings. This one is available in a variety of different sizes — 120mm, 140mm, 240mm, 280mm, 360mm, 420mm. Price does jump the larger you go in radiator size, but the 280mm is probably the most affordable as far as performance and value for money go.

Corsair H100I V2

Coming in next, we have Corsair’s very own H100I V2. Known as a top gaming peripheral maker, this one might be a surprise from Corsair, but they actually make some excellent liquid CPU coolers, and this H100I V2 is one of them. Just like the Eisbaer 280, this one is extremely versatile, working with AM4, LGA 1151, and many older sockets. The one downside is that you will have to download the Corsair iCUE software to manage your liquid CPU cooler, as it cannot be controlled from the BIOS directly.

Corsair H100I PRO RGB

Corsair H100I PRO RGB is another favorite, essentially an exact clone of the H100I V2, but it comes with a whole lot more bells and whistles inside. If you like decking out your computer case with pretty lights, then you’ll have the PRO RGB and its ability to let you customize the pump lighting. You can actually change the colors of the lights within an RGB color wheel in the iCUE software. Individual fan speeds and the pump speed is controlled from here as well — you can even view exact coolant temperatures. Zero RPM Mode is another nice addition — cooling fans stop entirely when your processor is at a low temperature, eliminating noise from your PC entirely.

Thermaltake 240 Water 3.0

Next up, we have the Thermaltake 240 Water 3.0. This is an excellent choice for those that need a higher performer they can depend on. For example, if you do a lot of high-end gaming or put your computer through some demanding tasks, such as video editing or programming, the Thermaltake 240 Water 3.0 will have no problem keeping up. This one is actually similar to Thermaltake’s higher-end Floe Riing — you can just picture this as the more budget-friendly version of its Floe Riing cooler. So where are the differences? The big difference here is dropped app support and no pump RGB lighting. This makes it a whole lot more affordable for the average user out there. Don’t take that the wrong way — there’s still plenty of aesthetics, just not nearly as much otherwise. The Thermaltake 240 Water 3.0 is still a high-performance liquid cooler with little to no noise. The built-in limiter does an excellent job limiting fan RPMs, even under load, though you can tune it yourself a little bit.

Corsair H115I Pro

Our next, and honestly, favorite option available right now is the Corsair H115 Pro. As you might’ve guessed, this one comes in a wide variety of radiator sizes, but we think 280mm is the perfect medium here — not only do you get excellent cooling performance, but you get it at an affordable price point as well.

This is a high-performing cooling setup for your processor, but even then, the Corsair H115I Pro is able to stay quiet as can be while keeping your system cool. There’s still a number of options for RGB customizations.
